Day 01  Arrive Beijing

Arrive Beijing, the capital of the People’s Republic of China. Meet your guide upon arrival and transfer to your deluxe hotel.

 

Day 02  Beijing

Morning tour to Tiananmen Square, located in the heart of the capital, and the Imperial Palace, known as the Forbidden City - one of the greatest feats of ancient Chinese architecture. Afternoon sightseeing includes Summer  Palace – a former summer resort area of the royal family. Welcome Peking Duck Banquet in the evening.

 

Day 03  Beijing

Full day excursion to the Great Wall – the landmark of China. It is one of the most amazing feats of human labour – the only man-made construction on earth visible from outer space. After lunch, a drive to the Ming Tombs along the Sacred Way with giant marble figures and animals guarding the tomb area for deceased emperors of the Ming Dynasty.

 

Day 04  Beijing – Datong

Morning tour to the Temple of Heaven where the ancient emperors pray for good harvest, then take an afternoon soft seat train to Datong.

 

Day 05  Datong

Full day tour to the Cloud Ridge Caves, Nine-Dragon Screen and the Huayan Temple.

 

Day 06  Datong –Wutai Mountain

Morning excursion to Hanging Monastery. Then take a bus to Wutai Mountain.

 

Day 07  Wutai Mountain

A full day to explore the Wutai Mountain Scenic Area. Wutai Mountain ,also called Five-terrace Mountain, centered on the beautiful monastic village of Taihuai, is one of China’s sacred Buddhist mountain areas. 

Day 08  Wutai Mountain – Taiyuan
Morning drive to Taiyuan, visit the Jinci Temple – the most famous of all the historical relics in the city and Twin-Pagoda Temple in the afternoon.

Day 09  Taiyuan – Pingyao – Xi’an

Whole day excursion to Pingyao by coach(2-hour drive), a well-preserved ancient city listed by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage in 1997. Visit the Shuanglin Temple, City Wall and Ri Sheng Chang Financial House. After lunch , visit Ming-Qing Street and Courtyard Residence. Return to Taiyuan in the afternoon to visit Qiao Family’s Compound. Take the overnight soft sleeping train to Xian.

 

Day 10  Xi’an

Upon arrival , visit the the unparalleled highlight Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses at the Tomb of Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor in China. Added highlights are a visit to the Huaqing Hot Spring – a former resort area especially for the emperors and the royal family and a visit to Big Wild Goose Pagoda which was built in 652 A.D. It contains a large volume of Buddhist scriptures which were obtained from India by the eminent monk of Xuanzang. Attend a special Tang Dynasty song and dance Show in the evening.

 

Day 11  Xian

Full day excursion to Qianling Mausoleum, the joint tomb of Emperor Gaozong and Empress Wu Zetian of Tang Dynasty and Famen Temple which is a famous temple in China and houses real body relics of Sakyamuni.

 

Day 12  Xian - Hangzhou

Morning flight to Hangzhou, then half-day sightseeing features a cruise on the famous West Lake and Temple of the Soul’s Retreat and the Six Harmonies Pagoda.

 

Day 13  Hangzhou - Ningbo – Putuo Island

Morning drive to Ningbo, visits the Asaki Temple, then take the cruise to Putuo.

 

Day 14  Putuo Island

Full day excursion to Putuo Island. This is the place we all dream about – temples, pagodas, arched bridges, narrow alleys, fishing boats, artisans and monks.

 

Day 15  Putuo Island - Shanghai

Continuing tours in Putuo Island in the morning, then take a cruise at noon to Shanghai. Upon arrival, visit the Longhua Temple.

 

Day 16  Shanghai

Shanghai, the bustling commercial heart of China, known as the “Paris of the East”. The sightseeing today includes the Jade Buddha Temple where two rare jade statues of Sakyamuni Buddha are treasured , Yu Yuan (Mandarin’ Garden) and the Bund – the lovely waterfront. An acrobatic show for your evening entertainment .

 

Day 17  Depart Shanghai
