19-Day Beijing, Chengde, Xi’an, Guilin, Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Qiandao Lake, Huangshan Mountain Tour

Day 01 Arrive Beijing

Arrive Beijing, the capital of the People’s Republic of China. Meet your guide upon arrival and transfer to your deluxe hotel.

Day 02 Beijing

Morning tour to Tiananmen Square, located in the heart of the capital, and the Imperial Palace, known as the Forbidden City - one of the greatest feats of ancient Chinese architecture. Afternoon sightseeing includes Summer Palace – a former summer resort area of the royal family. Welcome Peking Duck Banquet in the evening.

Day 03 Beijing

Full day excursion to the Great Wall – the landmark of China. It is one of the most amazing feats of human labor – the only man-made construction on earth visible from outer space. After lunch, a drive to the Ming Tombs along the Sacred Way with giant marble figures and animals guarding the tomb area for deceased emperors of the Ming Dynasty.

Day 04 Beijing – Chengde

A 4-hour bus ride to Chengde in the morning. Visit the Imperial Summer Palace Villa upon arrival.

Day 05 Chengde - Beijing

Drive back to Beijing in the morning. Afternoon sightseeing includes Temple of Heaven, where the emperors pray for good harvest and Yonghe Lamasery – the most renowed Tibetan Buddhist temple in China outside Tibet itself .n

Day 06 Beijing – Xi’an

Take morning flight to Xi’an, the great ancient capital and the eastern end of the Silk Road. City tour begins with the ancient City Wall, which was built in 1370 A.D. Afternoon visit to Big Wild Goose Pagoda which was built in 652 A.D. It contains a large volume of Buddhist scriptures, which were obtained from India by the eminent monk of Xuanzang. Attend a special Tang Dynasty Song and Dance Show in the evening.

Day 07 Xian

Full day excursion to the unparalleled highlight Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses at the Tomb of Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor in China. Added highlights are a visit to the Huaqing Hot Spring – a former resort area especially for the emperors and the royal family and a visit to Banpo Village – the remains of a Neolithic village dating back 6,000 years. Primitive tools and household utensils are displayed in the Banpo Museum.

Day 08 Xian – Guilin

Fly to Guilin in the morning. Sightseeing begins with visits to the most famous Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill and Fubo Hill up where you can climb for panoramic view of the city.

Day 09 Guilin

Enjoy a morning cruise down the winding Li River to Yangshou, Viewing the spectacular scenery as it reflects in the crystalline water. You can explore Yangshou, a small town with many stalls selling traditional Chinese arts and Crafts articles. Return to Guilin by coach for dinner.

Day 10 Guilin - Shanghai

Fly to Shanghai, the bustling commercial heart of China, known as the “Paris of the East”. The tour begins with a stroll along the lively waterfront “The Bund”, then a visit to the Jade Buddha Temple where two rare jade statues of Sakyamuni Buddha are treasured. An acrobatic show for your evening entertainment.

Day 11 Shanghai - Suzhou

Today your tour will begin with an excursion by road to Zhouzhang Village, unique city with preserved ancient style houses. Continue on to Suzhou.

Day 12 Suzhou

Full day excursion to the Humble Administrator’s Garden, Master of the Fishnet Garden and silk Embroidery Institute, then cruise the Grand Canal a memorable experience.

Day 13 Suzhou - Hangzhou

Take a bus to Hangzhou in the morning, half day tour to view the 4^th century Lingyin Temple, Six-Harmony Pagoda and Longjing Tea Farm.

Day 14 Hangzhou

A full day sightseeing features a cruise on the famous West Lake and a tour of Huagang Park.

Day 15 Hangzhou - Qiandao Lake - Shendu

Drive to Qiandao Lake in the morning. Qiandao Lake, Known as Thousand Islets, the limpid lake is embraced by hills with green trees. A boat ride from Qiandao Lake where you will visit Snake Island and Bird Island. You will spend an overnight stay here.

Day 16 Qiandao Lake - Huangshan Mountain

This morning you will take a bus tour to Hangshan Mountain from Shendu, upon arrival climb up the Huangshan Mountain by cable car.

Day 17 Huangshan Mountain

A full day to explore the Huangshan Mountain Scenic Area – one of the most famous landscape attractions in China.

Day 18 Huangshan Mountain – Shanghai

Morning flight to Shanghai, sightsee the fascinating Yu Yuan (Mandarin’s Garden) and the Shanghai Museum. No visit to Shanghai would be complete without a stop at craft factory or a curio shop that shanghai is famous for. A visit to the Children’s Palace if time permits.

Day 19 Depart Shanghai
