10-Day Beijing, Baoding, Xian, Chengdu, Shanghai Tour

Day 01 Arrive Beijing

Arrive Beijing, the capital of the People’s Republic of China. Meet your guide upon arrival and transfer to your deluxe hotel.

Day 02 Beijing – Baoding - Beijing

2-hour drive to Mancheng, in the vicinity of Baoding, to visit the Han Tombs, see the “jade grave clothes sewn with gold thread” and visit the excavation site. Welcome Peking Duck Banquet in the evening.

Day 03 Beijing

Full day excursion to the Great Wall – the landmark of China. It is one of the most amazing feats of human labour – the only man-made construction on earth visible from outer space. After lunch, a drive to the Ming Tombs along the Sacred Way with giant marble figures and animals guarding the tomb area for deceased emperors of the Ming Dynasty. Today’s tour also includes Dingling Underground Palace at Ming Tombs and exhibition hall of unearthed relics including Emperor Wanli’s gold filigree crown and the empress’ phoenix crown.

Day 04 Beijing – Xi’an

Take morning flight to Xi’an, the great ancient capital and the eastern end of the Silk Road. Tour to the Yangling Mausoleum of the Han Dynasty and the ancient City Wall which was built in 1370 A.D. Afternoon visit to Big Wild Goose Pagoda which was built in 652 A.D. It contains a large volume of Buddhist scriptures which were obtained from India by the eminent monk of Xuanzang. Attend a special Tang Dynasty Song and Dance Show in the evening.

Day 05 Xian

Full day excursion to the unparalleled highlight Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses at the Tomb of Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor in China. Added highlights are a visit to Tang mural paintings in the Shaanxi History Museum .

Day 06 Xian – Chengdu

Fly to Chengdu by morning flight. Afternoon sightseeing includes Thatched Cottage of Dufu, erstwhile home of famous poet in Tang Dynasty and the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base .

Day 07 Chengdu

Full day excursion to the Sanxingdui Museum of burial objects at the site of Sanxingdui.

Day 08 Chengdu – Shanghai

Take a morning flight to Shanghai, the bustling commercial heart of China, known as “Paris of the East”, visit the Old Town, Yu Garden , the lively waterfront “Bund” and the Jade Buddha Temple where two rare jade statues of Sakyamuni Buddha are treasured.

Day 09 Shanghai

Morning tour takes you to Shanghai Museum where rare treasures are on display and Nanjing Road.

Day 10 Depart Shanghai
