12-Day Beijing, Xi’an, Suzhou, Shanghai Tour
Day 01 Arrive Beijing
Arrive Beijing, the capital of the People’s Republic of China. Meet your guide upon arrival and transfer to your deluxe hotel.
Day 02 Beijing
Morning tour to Tiananmen Square, located in the heart of the capital, and the Imperial Palace, known as the Forbidden City - one of the greatest feats of ancient Chinese architecture. Afternoon sightseeing includes Summer Palace – a former summer resort area of the royal family. Welcoming Dinner of Beijing cuisine.
Day 03 Beijing
Full day excursion to the Great Wall – the landmark of China. It is one of the most amazing feats of human labor – the only man-made construction on earth visible from outer space. After lunch, a drive to the Ming Tombs along the Sacred Way with giant marble figures and animals guarding the tomb area for deceased emperors of the Ming Dynasty. This evening take a visit to the Quanjude Peking Duck Restaurant, watch the duck roasted. Followed by a fabulous Peking Duck Banquet.
Day 04 Beijing
Morning visit to the Temple of Heaven which the emperors pray for good harvest, then visit a Food Art School in the afternoon. Demonstration of Chinese cooking techniques, lectures on Chinese cuisine. Learn to cook a typical course of Sichuan Style. Dinner in the famous Sichuan Restaurant for Sichuan cuisine.
Day 05 Beijing – Xi’an
Morning tour to the Yonghe Lamasery – the most renowned Tibetan Buddhist Temple in China outside Tibet itself, then take a flight to Xi’an, enjoy the dumpling banquet in Defachang Restaurant.
Day 06 Xi’an
Whole day tour to Bell Tower, the Great Mosque and the local market. After dinner, take a visit to the kitchen of the hotel and watch a demonstration given by a hotel chef (dumpling or noodle stripping).
Day 07 Xian
Full day excursion to the unparalleled highlight Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses at the Tomb of Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor in China. Added highlights are a visit to the Huaqing Hot Spring – a former resort area especially for the emperors and the royal family and a visit to Banpo Village – the remains of a Neolithic village dating back 6,000 years. Primitive tools and household utensils are displayed in the Banpo Museum. Enjoy the Tang Dynasty Song and Dance Show in the evening.
Day 08 Xian –Shanghai - Suzhou
Take a morning flight to Shanghai, then transfer to Suzhou.
Day 09 Suzhou
Full day excursion to the Humble Administrator’s Garden, the Garden of the Master of Net and the Embroidery Institute. Enjoy Gusu cuisine at night.
Day 10 Suzhou - Shanghai
In the morning take a diet lesson given by the hotel chef. Learn to cook a Huaiyang dish. In the afternoon, transfer back to Shanghai, enjoy Dim-sum dinner in the local restaurant.
Day 11 Shanghai
Today’s sightseeing includes the Temple of the Jade Buddha where two rare jade statues of Sakyamuni Buddha are treasured, then a visit to the fascinating Yuyuan Gardens. Stroll along the lively waterfront “The Bond”. An acrobatic show will be arranged tonight.
Day 12 Depart Shanghai
Your exciting journey draws to a close as your board your international flight home
